A Memory that will last a lifetime...

I am sure that most people intending to visit the Yemen have bemused friends and relatives who wonder why on earth anyone would wish to travel there. The main attraction for travellers to Yemen is the fascinating history of the region and the discovery that there is life after Egypt.

Inevitably the overriding and lasting impression is of the phenomenal variety in scenery, which surprises everyone. The friendliness of the Yemenis themselves is also a great bonus.

The Yemen will be many things to many people. For me, it is the dramatic view north from Kahail; eating local food at the Suq al-Hubz in Sana'a Old City; looking across Wadi Hadramaut from the top of Husn al-Urr: and watching the sun go down at Bir Ali.
